Radiant with Joy

4 I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.
      He freed me from all my fears.
 5 Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;
      no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
 6 In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;
      he saved me from all my troubles.
 7 For the angel of the Lord is a guard;
      he surrounds and defends all who fear him.

 8 Taste and see that the Lord is good.
      Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!

Psalm 34:4-8

Today I am praising the Lord for hearing our prayers. At times I didn't even feel like praying any more because nothing seemed to be happening anyway. I felt so stuck. But I knew He still heard, and cared, and would answer. In His perfect time, not my "ideal" time. I don't know why I still try to make things happen on my own sometimes because I know that God always takes care of me, He always provides. Beyond that, His way is always the best. "We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them" (Romans 8:28) Because God was causing everything to fall into place for us, we were able to both find employment in Lima doing what we are passionate about and move into a freshly vacated duplex. If you see me know, I will be radiant with joy because God has provided and I am able to chase the passions that He has given me. No more sad tears, only happy tears flood my eyes when I think about how awesome it is that Jesus never fails. Amen.

  1. I am radiant with joy, as well, knowing that our God never fails and also because He's brought my Boo, her Love and Ruby back home to all of us!
