- I'd probably get restless at home or be way too lazy for my own good. I'm talking about pj's all day, facebooking, watching shows on hulu. Not that I did any of that these past 2 1/2 weeks....
- I'd miss the kiddos at the center so so so much. It's been such a blessing to be able to work with each one of them and just be a part of their lives, to get a peek into their worlds, watch them make breakthroughs, get sneakily kissed on the cheek every now and then. (I also get sneakily smacked in the face every now and then, that part I would not miss so much)
- The school day is only 5 hours, I get Christmas break, Spring break, Summer break, other random holidays, and weather delays and cancellations. Not every working mom gets those perks.
- I work with really great people and I am glad they are in my life.
- My Mom and Uncle Aaron would be very upset if they couldn't watch Emi while I'm gone. I'm so incredibly thankful that my family is able to watch her, they are the best babysitters ever.
- We'd pretty much have to eat rice and beans if we were going to live without my income. Not a fan.

Realizations
Tomorrow is my last day of being home with Emi before I go back to work at the Center. The brief moments I've thought about being a stay at home mom I've realized a few things:

Staying at home does have its perks, but going out in the world certainly does, too! I'm so thankful you really like your job and have the opportunity to make such a lasting impact on your students. Emi will be fine, I'm sure. Love you!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a great job..and you will be rewarded for balancing it all! Praising God for your move back here and for family who can bless you with security and best Emi care ever! :)
