Bitter Better Butter Batter

One of my high school teachers always used to say that when you're faced with a difficult situation you can either choose to be bitter about it or get better. To this day whenever I find myself in a less than pleasant situation I remember those words. It's important to remember that your attitude is a choice. Just because a bad attitude seems "natural" or maybe just "easy" following a really crappy thing doesn't mean it has to be your response.
A few years ago one of my devotionals put it another way, we can either be a dart board or a pipeline of blessing. We can either say "Woe is me, these bad things are happening to me, feel sorry for me." or "Yes, something crappy happened to me but with God's help I'm going to overcome it."
When you choose to overcome, God can use you to bless others. Some day God might just introduce you to someone going through that same crappy thing and He's going to use you to encourage them. Or, He might use you right now to be a blessing to a person who hurt you when you respond with love instead of hate. Either way, we should open ourselves up to be used even when we think things are useless.

P.S. Multiple times I started typing "yoused" instead of "used". So, if there are any other errors please overlook them.....long day ;)
